One of the most important goals of a martial art school is teaching people how to be safe. With adults and teenagers, this is not too difficult. However, with small children, it is a daunting task. Children are easily fooled and, no matter what they have learned, easy to overpower. That is why we have spent many years developing and refining the most effective Stranger Danger program anywhere. Our goal is to teach children about dangerous situations and how to avoid them. Additionally, we teach children how to react if a dangerous situation should arise.
As part of our regular young people's classes, as well as our outside Stranger Danger seminars, the material is presented in a coherent, logical manner which the children can readily follow. Our training includes many examples of the kinds of temptations which face children. Temptations such as the nice-looking lady walking a dog, or the man walking with a cane asking for help with his car door, are just two examples of the comprehensive approach to the subject matter.
The booklet, "Stranger Danger", is available free of charge at United Martial Arts. It is a valuable resource in teaching your children to be safe.
